The Ranchi branch of Indian institute of Materials Management is going to host the prestgious National convention of the institute on 25th May at Ranchi. It's for the first time that Ranchi is honoured to host it.
On 24th May , an Eastern region , one day conference on Supply Chain Management , theamed "Supply Chain in Mines , challenges and opportunities" shall be held which shall be participated by delegates from all parts of the country.
Primarily , the SCM conference shall be organised by the Ranchi branch of the IIMM but, in essence it's Public sector enterprises Coal India and Steel Authority of India Limited who shall be joining hands to organise it.
Jharkhand ,with rich mineral resources is the state of India looking for big new industrial set up but lacks the necessary infrastructure needed to have smooth supply chain. However, if there is one profession that has got immense potential to develop here, it's the Supply Chain Management and therefore trying to have a conference on the topic is surely going to be a good crowd puller.
